BTEC level 3 triple distinction in equine management

Mucking out, turning out, catching in, tacking up, feeding, riding, exercising, grooming, yard duties, arena maintenance, field maintenance, poo picking

Grooming, bathing, plaiting, tacking up and preparing horses for competitions including dressage and showjumping. Yard duties such as mucking out, tack cleaning sweeping, grooming, putting rugs on, leading horses, turning out, catching in, tidying away tack/grooming equipment/brushes, cleaning equipment, feeding horses, stable maintenance, field maintenance. Lunging and ground work with different horses.

Worked in a team environment to effectively help run the college yard to make sure all yard duties and care for horses was done effectively and to a high standard. Worked with a wide range of horses including young and old horses all with different temperaments and needs.

Flatwork and low level jumping

I have done some work at college preparing horses for riding and competitions including dressage and showjumping. I also helped in equine events at college setting up the arena for showjumping and dressage and also arena maintenance during the event like picking up poles and poo picking.
