Equine Work Experience

I have grew up surrounded by horses all my life, being at the yard twice a day every day for 16 years. Also Being at horse shows every single weekend up until I was 16. I have had 14 horses, all beautiful show horses that I have successfully shown. I have also broken in friends horses, taught children to ride and ridden friends horses for them at shows and just for general work. Aswell as this I have experienced the farm life, and luckily I love it. All yard duties I am very much experienced in completing.

Specialities

I have worked with one foal before, who we (as a family) bred ourselves. I have been around foals, such as turning them out, rugs, feeding etc.

Type of Ride Work

Mainly show horses. I have had a couple of 12.2 Show ponies, 11.2 Section A, 14.2 Show pony, 15.2 Connemara… I have always been a show woman! I wouldn’t say my main specialty is in hunting or jumping. I love hacking a lot. I like doing small jumps/pole work but I am a flatwork person through and through, and love a good hack and a good show!

Competition Details

Yes. Competed for many years. I have never ‘worked’ on a competition yard as I have always had my own horses. However i’m very much familiar with the effort, environment and experience that horse competition and yards bring.
