Equine Work Experience

I have owned my own ponies/horse since 2003, and previously shared a pony prior to having my own. My current horse Taylor, I have owned since 2010. Until recently (due to relocating), I have been a regular Pony Club member and have obtained my B Test (equivalent to BHS exams) and been on a few SJ teams.

After finishing secondary school, I went on to achieve a Merit in a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Care & Management at Oaklands College in St Abans, and durng this period I also went on work experience at Bullimore Eventing based in Bedfordshire, where I gained invaluable experience, knowledge and some great friends!

Since then, I have worked full time at Shearwater Insurance in the Equine Department dealing with daily enquiries, quotations and processing renewals. I also starting visiting yards for quotations, and am now proudly an Introducing Agent whilst at University.

Type of Ride Work

I am heavily interested in Eventing with competing my own now at BE80 level, as well as regularly attending Burghley and Badminton as a spectator.

From Oaklands College, I do however have experience with Riding Schools and Livery as well.

Competition Details

I have previously competed at PC events, both Dressage, Show Jumping, & Eventing (Level 3). After a few set backs from both myself and my current horse, we finally went affiliated in April doing our first BE80 and with goals of completing a BE100 before he retires.

Whilst at Bullimore Eventing I have experience on the grooming aspect of competitions with attending many training and competing venues.
