Equine Work Experience

I have worked as a full time groom for the last 4 years and worked as a weekend groom for 2 years prior to this. Despite my young age I feel i have a lot of varied experience to bring to the table since i have been around horses in some capacity since i was 4 and have been working on a yard since 13. I purchased my own 16.2hh throughbred gelding in October 2021, loaning him for 3 years prior after rehabbing him for a hock injury and a severe injury to his mouth. Both of which i am happy to say Gilly has fully recovered and is enjoying his time schooling, hacking and occasionally competing.

In my current role i am a supervisor for my yard and am also teaching a variety of students to help me get ready to take my teaching exams, i also assist in teaching equine therapy to a variety of clients, run pony club sessions, assist in teaching horse boy sessions and i also manage hafdays and camps. I really do love my job and want to gain much experience in all areas of the equine industry.
