Equine Work Experience

I have completed my level 3 equine management at Moreton Morrell college and received two merits and a distinction. I have been riding for 12 years and have helped at multiple riding events and pony clubs as well as had work experience on professional yards. I have ridden a variety of horses from schooling ponies to thoroughbreds just off the track to ex-eventers, now including fresh 4 year olds new to training and having ride and lead experience out on hacks on busy roads. I have worked as an apprentice groom for an event rider, the yard also included livery and a riding school so I have a experience with a variety of horses as well as dealing clients to a high standard.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a variety of horses, no younger than 4 years old. This includes those with limited training and introducing them into a schooling environment. I have ridden eventers, riding school ponies, livery horses for their owners. Happy to hack on busy roads or country lanes as well as ride and lead. I am happy to ride most horses but will not put myself in unnecessary danger if I feel uncomfortable or unsafe to ride one. I have experience in flat work and jump. Limited cross country.

Competition Details

I have been to multiple events as a groom, from 4* competitions to a 4 year olds show class. I have completed overnight stays of up to three nights away.
