Qualifications
Diploma in Horse Management. Degree in Equine sports science Wanting to attain BHS coaching qualifications in the future.
Duties of Current Occupation
Horses on and off the walkers, appropriate rugging, feeding, filling waters, cleaning drinkers, keeping the yard tidy, cleaning tack.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for 20 years, own a 5 year old ex racer who has been going through rehab for kissing spine, arthritis and 4 inflamed suspensory ligaments. We have been incredibly successful with the rehab process. I have previously been sole worker on a livery yard, have helped with teaching in a riding school. I also rode horses for an instructors clients and helped her with her own therapy yard. I have also carried out work experience at a large-scale trekking center, 60+ horses and ponies.
Specialities
My first year of university was spent handling foals and youngsters within their on site stud. I handled stallions on a livery yard previously and also at university. I currently lead a team of yard staff and delegate jobs on the between myself and other yard staff who are present.
Type of Ride Work
Flatwork, jumping, young horses.
Competition Details
I currently work at a race yard. I compete my own horse at 70cm - 80cm. I am able to jump 1m+, my horse is just young and green. I have competed in Dressage up to Novice.
