I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I worked on a yard on the weekends for about a year when i was 14 as well as taking care of the horses my family had, I used to help my sisters when they went to shows by plaiting up their horses and helping with other things such as tacking up and putting on boots.
I grew up with horses so have lots of experience, throughout the years we had many different ponies including a rescue, an un-broken pony, inexperienced horses. I worked on a yard on the weekends when I was 14 for about a year doing mostly mucking out, haynets, water buckets, feeds and poo picking. I would also tacked up the horses for the riding school and made sure they looked presentable. currently we have 3 horses a 17hh 4y, a 15.1hh 7y and a 16.2 15y cob that i share with my mum.
I have ridden inexperienced horses, rescue horses, young horses. The biggest horse I ever rode was 18.2hh, I'm not really sure why but i am more comfortable on bigger horses. i have hunted, jumped, done dressage and have many years in pony club, cross country is definitely my favourite. i am a plus size person and i am not expecting to ride, i just really like being around horses and helping others however I am a good and quiet rider who has a lots of experience.
I competed in pony club competitions when i was younger but i havent done much in recent years because i had to give up riding for a couple years because my life was just too complicated, i am getting back into it though and have a couple competitions coming up which im very excited for
