I have worked extensively with thoroughbreds on racing and breeding stables around Australia. I’ve assisted with handling and prepping yearlings for sale, foaling down, and have been responsible for administering and managing basic veterinary care.Qualifications

Equine Work Experience
I have experience on a range of equine properties.
At Macedon Racing I started as a stablehand and later became responsible for managing shifts and groundstaff. I was also trusted with handling, administering and recording treatments and pre-racing medication of horses.
At Finniefeirme I handled young horses, including colts, yearlings and foals on a daily basis and assisted in their on-the-ground training. I would provide basic veterinary care and regularly administer medication both oral and injections. During foaling season I did night watch shifts and provided pre and post-natal care of mares and foals.
During my employment at the Brookleigh Estate I was one of two stablehands and was responsible for the daily care of 16 horses. The owner was away regularly so I was often working independently and was trusted to make judgement calls relating to the general wellbeing of the horses.

Type of Ride Work
I have experience in show jumping up to 1m and some cross country. I haven’t ridden consistently in a few years but am looking to get back into it.
