Duties of Current Occupation
Currently studying BSc(Hons) Equine Performance and Rehabilitation at Hartpury University. Worked in various professional equine settings for 7+ years, most recently completing 3 months work experience at a Portuguese Lusitano stud.
Equine Work Experience
Growing up I 8 years volunteering at my local riding school, which other than the instructor, was volunteer run. I was often in charge of managing the horses, other volunteers and clients, which I took pride in doing efficiently. Throughout this time I got various pockets of opportunities to work elsewhere, like Wimbledon Stables.
During my second year of University, I completed a 6 month placement at Hartpury Equine Therapy Centre, where I learnt how rehabilitation plans were created for client horses, as well as carrying out stretches, electrotherapy, and working horses on dry and water treadmills.
From mid June to mid August 27 I carried out work experience in Portugal at a Lusitano stud, learning to work with the beautiful breed, and how top bred classical dressage studs and broodmares are handled.
Specialities
I have and am completing theoretical equine studies in regards to biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, management, rehabilitation and more.
Across my previous roles I have worked with stallions, young horses, foals, lead teams, worked with children, as well as used high speed and water treadmills at Hartpury's own therapy centre.
Type of Ride Work
I am not particularly looking for ridden work - due to life circumstances riding has taken a back seat and is not up to par.
