Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science - DM (Distinction Merit)

I am currently working full time on a small part livery yard where I have sole charge for the daily care of the horses

I have previously worked on a variety of yards including; Livery, Eventing and Dressage

• I have worked for a Grand Prix dressage rider where I learnt many skills; •Plaiting to a high standard •Lunging/ hacking performance horses •I was trained to be the competition groom, I went to many shows including stay aways where I had sole charge of getting the horses ready and turned out to a high standard. •Using and maintaining the on-site water treadmill •Tack cleaning

• Whilst at the college BCA studying a level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Care and Management I handled and rode a variety of horses. I also participated in the organising and running of shows at the college, including the BCA horse trials.

• I have hacked current and previous employers horses.

• I currently work my own horse around 4-5 times per week doing a variety of activities, including; in hand poles, groundwork, schooling, ridden pole work, hacking and jumping.

• I backed my horse Banoffee myself.

• Riding is not my strongest ability but I am eager to learn and improve.

• I was the competition groom for a Grand Prix dressage rider, I went to day shows and stay aways. •I was in charge of packing the lorry •I turned out the horses to a high standard for shows
