Yard duties , riding

I have worked in several different disciplines and gained experience in all of them . Some jobs I have worked have just been during the summer months when the hunters have been on holiday for example polo and eventing . These have not been listed in my CV as only temp positions ... My main employment has been with hunters . During that time I have backed , broken and ridden many youngsters on to the hunting field . I also would also bring them on to novice level hunter trials . My most recent equine employment was with carriage and procession horses . Driving was completely new to me but by the end of my time there I was a qualified carriage driver and had successfully broken 2 to harness that are still being used in royal ceremonies today .

I work to a high standard and am very particular about a tidy yard . Keeping a pleasant atmosphere with my colleagues and management . Animal welfare is always first .

I have ridden since I was 13 . I left school at 16 and worked full time with horses untill I was 46 . So during that time I was riding almost every day , usually several times a day and everything from youngstock to carriage horses . I enjoyed jumping when out hunting and doing hunter trials . I am not too fussed about riding being part of my job these days but if required I would be cable , responsible and confident to give a fit horse a good walk trot canter exercise .
