I am currently attending Lacham College (Wiltshire College and University Centre) and i am studying Level 2 Equine Horse Care and Management.

I have been riding since the age of two and have been working/helping at my local yard for the past 5/6 years. Some of the duties i have been given were: mucking out, exercising horses from the ground or riding, grooming, keeping yard tidy, tacking-up, helping with lessons, field maintenance - poo picking, keeping the fields weed free, tack cleaning, feeding horses, turning out and bringing in, holding for farrier and vet, rugging up.

• I have helped my riding instructor give lessons.
• I can muck-out to a high standard.
• I have some experience with foals and mares.

I have ridden a range of different horses some of which are: lesson ponies (some with some attitude), green horses and some old ponies. I enjoy showjumping (up to 85-90cm), flat work (poles, transitions), hacking out. I have experience with a Welsh D who has been broken in and taught how to trot etc but has not been schooled and i ride him a couple times a week. He is quite cheeky and be temperamental but i can walk and steadily trot him before he gets too forward and cheeky.

I have been a groom for my friends at Tedworth Pony Show, and i have also traveled with my instructor to her shows/tests and helped her with her horse. e.g walking him around, unloading etc.
