Duties of Current Occupation

I run a private 5* livery yard, compete at dressage and freelance teach, and work as a professional rider training horses.

Equine Work Experience

Having competed to a high standard from such a young age and training with Olympic riders, I feel I have a huge amount of experience in the competition field and in how a top class facility should run. I have been based and been a rider and worked on many professional yards and therefore know how a top yard should run and function to maximum potential, and in the past 5 years have run a facility of my own very successfully. I am proud to say i have never had a livery leave, as they all express how happy they are, which is a wonderful compliment to the business i run. I have been building a coaching client base in Ireland and England over the past 7 years, and I now feel like I have a pretty stable base in both. I am a UKCC 2 coach which is the equivalent to the BHS level 3, and I intend to do my 3 and 4. But to be honest, the active experience i have had in professional environments for the past 18 years, is something even an exam cannot give you and money cannot buy.

Specialities

I specialize in dressage, I have been competing nationally and internationally since I was 12 years old. I am now 31. I came up through pony teams, Juniors and young riders and am trained to Grand Prix, I have trained two of my horses to Grand Prix level but due to health issues was never able to compete at the level. I have however competed up to inter 1 successfully. I have had a lot of experience in competition yards and run private yards. I also have built a freelance teaching client base.

Type of Ride Work

Due to past injury I now only ride dressage and on the flat and hacking out etc. The only thing i do not do is jump.

Competition Details

I have competed with great success in England up to inter 1 level. I have been competing since I was a very young child. I came up through ponies and juniors and the young rider system and Byrds etc in England. I did my first international at 12 years old and then consistently competed at premier leagues and internationals over the past 20 years. I have trained a few horses to Grand Prix but have not been able to compete at it yet, this is my long term goal.
