Duties of Current Occupation

I grew up with a sister-in-law who was a horse trainer, and I spent a great deal of time at the stables assisting with horse care, training, and mucking out. Although I haven’t worked with horses for some time, I am eager to rebuild my skills

Equine Work Experience

I used to work alongside my sister-in-law at her stables when I was younger, where I gained valuable hands-on experience with horses and day-to-day yard duties. I regularly assisted with grooming, mucking out, feeding, and general stable management, as well as exercising horses and supporting training routines. I also helped with riding lessons, including leading horses and assisting where needed.

During this time, I worked with a variety of horses, including foals, mares, and stallions, which helped me build confidence and a good understanding of horse behaviour. Although I have not worked with horses for some time, my passion for them has remained strong. I am now keen to return to the equestrian environment, rebuild my skills, and continue developing my knowledge within the industry.

Specialities

I have experience working with and handling foals, stallions, and mares. My duties have included leading horses during lessons, grooming, hacking, and assisting with a range of general yard activities.

Type of Ride Work

I have mainly ridden horses for flatwork and general riding, alongside hacking. I have also been involved in basic jumping during lessons. While I don’t have hunting experience, I am confident handling a variety of horses and am keen to develop my skills further across all areas.
