Qualifications
I achieved a distinction* in horse care, level two diploma. I have also taken part in an online course to gain a better understanding of animal behaviour and psychology.
I am currently studying Pearson's BTEC Level 3 extended diploma in horse management.
Additionally, I would like to obtain BHS Stage 1-3 in the near future.
Duties of Current Occupation
A job as a groom to include general yard duties; mucking/skipping out, filling haynets, change of waters etc...
I could also help with competition prep and days, e.g. bathing, grooming, tacking up etc...
Equine Work Experience
I have been around horses for over 20 years, previously owned my own and have been at an equine college where I completed my horse care level 2 qualification. I am currently studying Pearson's BTEC level 3 extended diploma qualification in horse management.
Specialities
Although I am not the fastest I make up for it by being thorough and ensuring that the horse's welfare is my top priority.
Competition Details
- Arena assistant at Moreton Morrell Horse Trials where I put any poles that had been knocked back into position. This was in April 2019 and September 2019.
