Qualifications wise I havnt got much on paper, I have my standard GCSE's but equine wise I just have me experience. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my course at Hartpury although I was not far off finishing due to family circumstances, therefore I have nothing on paper. I know equine general care and first from having horses growing up, although my knowledge could do with a but of a touch up, the basics are there and I am eager to relearn and hopefully start my bhs stages this year.
I had my first pony at 6 and then it all spiraled from there, I loved jumping and competing as an early teen before I went to Hartpury. Even though I wa sonly there a year I had learned so much in that time. I then went on to different job but always had horses in my life, I worked with a friend helping her to break her horse in, I've also done some natural horsemanship, training young horses ect. I've worked 2 job over the years as a stable hand/groom and also worked in a trekking centre. After a few years out of the saddle to have my children I am eager now to create a serious career in the equine world, one that I know I am truly passionate about. After years of having so much experience in different things, I know what I want to do for the rest of my life.
I have experience with horses growing up, competing (low level) as a teen and then went on to Hartpury college for a year. I've worked with young horses, breaking in, natural horsemanship. I've had a variety of rols from general customer service rols, chef, high ropes instructor and groom/trekking centre and everything in between. My skills reflect the experience over the years and I like to think I'm a dab hand and pretty much anything, always with attention to detail and the highest standard
I have ridden all types of horses, I learned to ride on a Shetland bareback who loved to run under electric fences. I loved jumping as I was growing up so that was mainly my thing, although I would love to get into flatwork/dressage a bit more these days. I also have experience with green/problem horses, I once rode an x racer who loved to cowbuck, even along roads if he wasn't getting his own way - I've always loved the trouble makers.
I used to compete a lot show jumping, usually 1m or under and also a bit of x country. Although unaffiliated, I was always so competitive and loved every second
