BSc (Hons) Equine Behaviour, Health, and Welfare (Pending Completion)

Began work at a riding school for 6 years in 2014 until I started my degree in 2020, this included leading lessons, yard management as well as riding and schooling the horses with opportunities to back any youngstock entering the programme. Throughout my college course (2018) and throughout my degree (present) I had lots of different opportunity to practice lots of different practical equine skills which included training techniques, exercising practices (lunging and long reining), riding, plaiting etc. I also rescued my first pony in 2019 where I was able to apply my knowledge to a much trickier situation in order to rehabilitate his condition and behaviour which had obviously been affected drastically given he is a rescue.

Mostly ridden varying different riding school horses and ponies to make sure they remain safe enough for lessons as well as having backed a lot of ponies since I am small enough to do so, also further rebacked my own pony after having a period of time off since he was started too early and got turned away for a period of time. Have also had opportunities to ride within my university degree and bring on my own pony since I kept him on livery with me for the duration of my degree.
