Bio
I am an active 60-year-old who has recently discovered a passion for horses and is looking for an opportunity to combine my love of horses with a new chapter in my life. I bring reliability, common sense, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Qualifications
No formal equine qualifications currently. I am currently developing my practical knowledge and riding skills and would be very interested in undertaking relevant training in the future.
Duties of Current Occupation
20+ years working in finance. I have also taken early retirement to help care for an elderly family member. Used to being responsible, reliable, organised and getting on with whatever needs doing. Practical and happy with hands-on work.
Equine Work Experience
I have always had a strong love of horses and have recently started taking regular riding lessons. I am currently developing my riding and basic horse-handling skills and am very keen to progress. Although I am still relatively inexperienced, I am enthusiastic, physically fit, willing to learn and not afraid of hard work. I would particularly welcome the opportunity to gain more experience in daily horse care and stable management.
Specialities
No specialist equine experience yet. I am a keen learner and very willing to develop my practical horse-care skills. I am confident with general practical tasks, working independently and taking responsibility. Happy to undertake yard, garden, and general farm duties.
Type of Ride Work
Currently learning basic flatwork and general riding through regular lessons. No hunting, jumping or competition experience yet. Very keen to develop my riding and learn from experienced horse owners.

No competition experience. I have recently taken up riding and am at the beginning of my equestrian journey.
