BHS Stage 1

Duties of Current Occupation

I have 3 years experience of volunteering at riding schools, this included general yard work, leading children in lessons and schooling (or lunging) the horses. I work on a self employed basis for Armonico Consort Limited, processing invoices.

Equine Work Experience

I currently support 3 owners with the car and exercise of their horses 6 days a week. I enjoy both hacking, schooling and cross country, aswell as taking the horses out and competing on occasions. I am a confident handler & rider, and I have experience working with challenging horses both on the ground and ridden. Over the recent years, I have brought a very stubborn horse back into work after having 5 years off, I am working towards competing him this summer. Around the same time, I also brought a very sassy Welsh B back into work after having laminitis, we enjoy lots of hacking, cross country, schooling and arena hires.

Type of Ride Work

I enjoy all aspects of ridden work and am always keen to try something new. I enjoy schooling flatwork & dressage, polework, jumping, cross country, hacking and mounted games for fun! I also enjoy competing when I can.

Competition Details

I have competed low level at local venues, this year I am aiming to compete to a slightly higher level whilst still competing for fun, although I hope to event in the future. I have my placement at a high level showjumping competition yard in May.
