I have only completed a taster course unfortunately as I wasn't able to access other options closer to home, but had I had the opportunity I would have taken it.

Cleaning stables, grooming horses, plaiting, exercising horses, hunting, showjumping and trekking experience.

I started riding at the age of six, building from there when I got older, I started voluntary work at nearby stables. My work experience began when I was asked to muck out, tack up, groom, change bedding and keep an eye on other and the yard when my instructor was away for an hour or so. I enjoy riding the most, so when asked, my instructor gave me opportunities to partake in showjumping and dressage to allow me to grasp my interests.

I find it easy and preferable to work as a team when completing daily tasks, mucking out and grooming are apart of my daily routine which I can complete quickly if asked along other tasks such as plaiting, tacking up and keeping the yard clean. I have experience in showjumping, hacking and trekking, hunting and cross country riding.

I have had the chance to ride all types of horses in the last decade, from young and very green horses to older and more placid horses. I enjoy a challenge when breaking a horse and like to have a goal when working with a horse, whether it's flat work practice or jumping. I have broken it horses myself and have been taught by my peers how to do so when working at other yards in the past.

I have helped organise competitions at my local riding centre and participated in a few, I like to be helpful with the younger riders during these competitions to help out my instructors to the best of my ability. I haven't had the opportunity to compete in larger competitions due to the area I live in.
