BA Degree, 2004 > Post-grad coursework 2015-17: Earned A+ in Masters level course teaching outdoor STEM curriculum using the forest, designing curriculum based upon cognitive development stages. 300 hours Yoga Teacher Certifications, 2008 & 2016. Designs riding exercises utilizing breathwork and alignment-based yoga. 10+ years as a Marketing Manager, writing, editing & proofreading. Created my own horse training business, website & marketing materials.

Hunt Seat Equitation Coach, Hunter-Jumper Rider, Training Green Prospects, Schooling, Instructor. Grooming up to FEI level, would love to learn FEI officially.

Equine Work Experience

Winning junior career.
Grooming & Vet tech skills. Preparing Horses for horse shows from local to A/A to FEI. Currently running a 20-stall rehab, layup barn! Ran a business with Hunter-Jumper clients (beg-int-rusty stirrup) & training green prospects. Working student rider background. Riding since age 8. At 13 my first show horse was a very hot 3 year old OTTB (see photo). I helped train him until he turned 8; Baby green hunter champ to Medal & Childrens' hunter champion when I was a teen. I'm proudest of turning him, a true TB Hunter-type, into an Eq & Medal winner too.

Equitation!

Running my own 10-acre farm, running my own riding school, ran my Trainer’s riding school. Developing Green Prospects. Teaching, Coaching & Mentorship. Mindfulness, working with anxious riders, Autistic spectrum, etc. Showmanship. I put the horses first, as I was taught. Self-groomed and cared for my mounts since day one.

Type of Ride Work

Trained for 10 years solely under a top Hunter trainer, as a junior.
Flatwork & gymnastics emphasis, some Dressage.
Schooling horses to prepare them for client training & lessons. I fit on Medium ponies; can probably ride ALL the horses. Show experience to 3'3"; fences to 3'9" Catch riding/Showing and riding sale ponies and horses.

Competition Details

8 years (junior rider) on OCHSA & IEL circuits, Southern California. Many championships and blue ribbons, especially equitation. OCHSA Year-end Grand & Reserve Championships (A) 2 IEL Championships (consecutive years Novice to Freshman)

Competed at these major rated shows: Pebble Beach Equestrian Classic (1999) Thermal / Indio Desert Classic (1998) Showpark Del Mar (1997)
