Bio
Hello! My name is Jay. My entire life I have owned, worked with, and competed horses and ponies. As a kid I competed in 4H Western, bareback, show jumping, and gymkhana and I miss it greatly. I would adore the opportunity to care for horses again!Documents
Duties of Current Occupation
Cleaning stalls, exercising horses and occasionally riding, general upkeep and assistance with horses, basic veterinary care and health monitoring.
Equine Work Experience
I've always owned horses growing up and currently work on my family's ranch taking care of the remaining elderly horses we have. I've also done some work with a donkey rescue with fencing upkeep and general care of the animals, but my experience is strongly with horses.
Specialities
The majority of my experience is with geldings of riding age, but now I mainly care (and have a soft spot) for pasture puffs. I also have experience with mares and miniature horses, but less extensive.
Type of Ride Work
I primarily ride with horses that are pretty normal by all standards, but I do have experience with flighty/jumpy and grumpy horses or those with behavioral problems. I don't usually start horses, but have trained horses and do upkeep on training.
Competition Details
When I was younger I used to compete horses in 4H in bareback, western, and jumping. I did fairly well back then, but I don't compete anymore.
