Duties of Current Occupation

I currently work for McArdle Equestrian in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. I am an assistant trainer and rider; I generally ride 3-7 horses per day and teach 2-4 lessons per day. I groom, clean tack, and ride a variety of horses- crossrail up to 1.45m.

Equine Work Experience

I grew up riding in Utah where we rescued mustangs from the BLM and gentled them with natural horsemanship. Our herd doubled as equine therapy animals and hunter/jumper ponies. I have bought and sold horses for the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. I have worked for a handful of people as a working student and have gained lots of knowledge from top riders. I found a new passion of working with kids and ponies, and am craving something new. I love horses and am looking for a change, but I want horses to be one of the main parts of my life.

Specialities

I have experience at A rated shows, teaching a variety of clientele (first time rider to junior jumpers, to adult amateurs). I have worked with green horses, rehabbed horses, and am responsible for maintaining the fitness of the horses in our barn. I have excellent communication skills. I understand how a barn and lesson program should function. I am hard working and enjoy watching both horses and riders learn, grown, and gain confidence.

Type of Ride Work

Hunter/jumpers.

Competition Details

Competed at USEF A rated horse shows and have been champion in the 1.1m, 1.20m, 1.30m, and 1.40m divisions.
