Duties of Current Occupation
Currently I teach my daughters pony club and have two horses in training. I school cross country with the pony clubbers and teach for shows and mounted meetings. I have experience teaching children and adults of all ages and levels.
Equine Work Experience
Summer internship with Jan Ebeling(GP dressage) 6mo intern W/ Jutta Heinsohn(GP dressage) 1 year Grand Prix barn Show jumping intern in Germany, 2 year intern W/ Kathy Von Ertfelda (international GP dressage competitor) . I can do Pasture rotation, diet management for high end horses, management of maintenance, competition and lesson schedule. I have extensive experience training schooling all levels.
In addition to the above, I have taken several OTTB and schooled them for dressage or CT. I am also a Certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor. I love working with people and horses. I am looking for a no drama barn where I can enjoy my days working doing what I love. I do not need to be training or competing consistently; however, I would love the opportunity to school and grow in my skills.
Specialities
Dressage riding, grooming to a high standard for competitions and sales, Lunging, clipping, pulling a trailer, advanced first aid, wrapping, schooling green horses, working with stallions and babies, pasture rotation, diet planning. Giving lessons to kids and adults beginner through 3rd level and intermediate jumping. Managing feed, turn out, vet and farrier appts, lesson calendar.
Type of Ride Work
Starting horses through schooling Grand Prix dressage. Jumping up to 4'6", hacking in the field easy and hot horses, cross country through preliminary. I would like a position where I can bring my two teenagers. My daughter 15, is a D3 pony clubber and 2nd level dressage rider, my son 17, loves to work around the stable and is currently employed as a groundskeeper at a campground. I am a rider/trainer/barn manager, I also have experience working and grooming for Grand Prix competitors.
Competition Details
Schooled through Grand Prix dressage, schooled 1.2 m in jumping, and training level Eventing. Extensive sales experience, pony club instruction. The bulk of my experience has been at the stable as I was often left sole care while trainers went to shows, or I went as a groom. I would love the opportunity to compete more but it is not necessary. Aside from stable experience I have been an office manager for medical offices and managed teams of 5+ people, I have extensive SEO/social media skills.
