Duties of Current Occupation
I am well versed in partnering with horses on the ground and am experienced in terms of management, organization and communication skills. I lived on a private ranch w/ 5 horses - fed, mucked, exercised, checked for injury, lunged, walked, rode, etc.
Equine Work Experience
I have over 5 years of groundwork experience including gentling wild mustangs. Currently I live on a ranch with 5 horses. I feed, water, muck, exercise, check for injury, lunge, walk, ride, etc 5 days/week....and more. At Skydog Sanctuary in Malibu I oversaw the ranch hands as well as organized events. I worked closely with the founder, doing everything from website management and marketing, to dealing with donors and fundraising for Skydog’s three ranches in Malibu, Oregon and Mariposa, which give home to 100+ rescued mustangs. Before that I worked part-time at Mesa Ranch in Topanga and assisted the barn manager with horse care and management, boarders, invoices/billables and vendors. Please see my resume.
