Duties of Current Occupation

Tacking, riding, barn chores; feeding, turn out, grooming.

Equine Work Experience

I have been involved with horses for approximately six years. Initially, I joined a small hunter-jumper barn and quickly became a working student to get more saddle time. My main duties included basic tasks such as stall cleaning, feeding, and turnout. After three years, my trainer required assistance with tacking up horses, which then became my responsibility for some time. I then got a job as a working student in North Carolina this last year, where I have learned so much I've had opportunities to groom at shows, learn about breeding and how a barn should properly run.

Specialities

I'm currently working on being softer in the saddle, as well with my hands.

Organized Like to have a clean space quick at tacking know how to spot something right away (on horses)

Type of Ride Work

My experience includes flat work and small fences in hunter/equitation. Although I lack experience in starting horses, I am keen to learn and open to riding various horses to gain experience. I have ridden some younger horses, but none of them green or babies. I've mostly ridden warmbloods and have come across a few OTTBs, non-have been "problem horses" in my opinion.

Competition Details

I have worked at a few shows as a groom; My duties would include bathing, wrapping, tacking up and down, as well as cleaning stalls, filling waters and feeding the horses.
