- I'm looking for an internship or volunteer opportunities to learn about horsemanship, training techniques, barn management, and/or equine health skills. Anything I can do to get a foot in the door of the horse world. I enjoy hard work and learning.
Qualifications
Not at the moment. I am considering taking online courses in equine studies but I believe that hands-on experience and exposure to knowledgeable horsemen sooner rather than later would be much more useful.

Duties of Current Occupation
I served in the US Marine Corps for 5 years as a Signals Intelligence Analyst and Persian-Farsi Language Analyst. I produced detailed intelligence reports and implemented security protocols to safeguard classified information.
Equine Work Experience
I grew up with mustangs that my grandparents owned. I learned to ride when I was about 6 and now I only ride about once a year when I can visit. I'm only experienced in western pleasure.
Specialities
I currently don't have any specialities in the horse world. My number one goal is to learn natural horsemanship. I'd love to gain experience and discover any specific interests I have so that I may pursue it. Presently, I'm interested in a career of gentling and groundwork to produce mild and learning-eager horses.
Type of Ride Work
Solely western pleasure; I don't have any experience with competition horses. I have minimal experience in lunging and groundwork.
