Qualifications
My experience as a young professional was all on the ground and applied learning. While I don't have a degree in a horse related field, I received my BA in Spanish from California State University, Channel Islands in May of 2023.

Duties of Current Occupation
Turn out, blanket, feed, grain, supplement, tack, exercise, ride, groundwork, cleaning stalls at competitions, grooming/bathing/clipping at shows, client relations, hauling, competing, etc.
Equine Work Experience
I have experience working for a 5* event barn and many upper level 3DE trainers in Temecula, CA. I have worked for and trained under Tamie Smith, Nick Cwick, Kaylawna Smith-Cook, Arielle Aharoni, and have been exposed to 5* working environments since 2018. Most of my experience as a serious groom took place in CA but in 2023 I made the jump from West to East Coast, and I am currently located in Williston, FL with my mare.
Specialities
Comfortable with young/green horses, has handled studs, and proficient in working horses from the ground. I have experience working horse trials/dressage shows with over 30+ horses needing to be cared for and show ready. I keep a clean space and equipment tidy, very detail oriented. White boards, charts, label makers, and lists are my best friend!! I am also an extremely seasoned clipper. I have been doing many style on my mare for years, and was everyone's go to guy for clipping in 805/909.
Type of Ride Work
I have done everything from school up to USEA Modified level on my own mare to being the first ride over fences/on the flat to a young OTTB. I am very comfortable with the easy going and the quirky ones of all ages and disciplines. I have a heavy dressage and eventing background, but I have done everything from equine therapy to reining and breed specific disciplines. I consider myself well rounded and participate in multiple disciplines with ease, and am a quick study.
Competition Details
I have competed up to USEA Novice (recognized) with my mare, but have schooled up to Modified/Prelim in just about every facility that runs in area VI. I have competed in many combined tests and unrecognized/schooling with both my horse and other trainer/client mounts. I have been hired out by many former trainers/clients to be their groom for their FEI competitions. I have been a freelance/traveling groom as well as a full time position as an in-barn groom.
