Equine Work Experience

I started riding competitively at age 3 at small local shows in New England, and as a kid was a glorified barn rat who would spend hours at the barn to learn everything and anything I could. I was known as the go to catch rider as I had a natural seat and could ride virtually anything with ease. I started working professionally (I.e. getting paid for my chores instead of just getting riding time) when I was 15 years old and never looked back. I knew from day one this is what I wanted to do. I also have extensive history of dealing with neglect and abuse cases, rescues, and rehabilitation cases. I have some training in the reproductive area of the horse industry, but would definitely love the opportunity to learn more about it in depth.

Specialities

Specialized in rehabilitation, young / green or off track thoroughbreds as well as new fresh imports.

Type of Ride Work

Over the years my main focus has been on hunter jumper types, but recently I started branching out into the eventing world. I’ve started multiple horses over the years, my first one being a childhood pony that is still going around this day in the jumper ring at almost 20 years old. My most recent was a 3 year old warmblood at a rehabilitation facility I was at, just a few weeks ago. I’m most comfortable showing in the hunter ring, at 3’3-3’6”, but I also love the jumpers!

Competition Details

Countless outings at the big show grounds, such as Highfields and Bruce’s field in Aiken SC, HITS Saugerties, and Kentucky Horse Park, WEF, Thermal, Galway Downs
