Greetings my name is Katie Jacobs, I specialize in behavior training and starting young stock. I'm looking for a permanent or simi permanent position with living accommodations for myself and my dog. Can move out of sate for the right position.Duties of Current Occupation
Jobs that include feeding, medicating, mucking out both stalls and paddocks, turn out/in from pastures, grooming, and tacking up/untacking. Ground work, Lunging and starting young stock.
Equine Work Experience
I have over 6 years of horse experience in various environments, riding center, rescue, and Show jumping stable. I've helped start new horses in riding and desensitizing training. Worked with individuals to build strength in weak areas. Aided in behavior evaluations to construct training plans for each horse and was given the responsibility to follow through with those plans. With each case I learned more, studied more and wanted to branch out on my own training methods.
Specialities
I have worked with green horses in starting, mainly flat work and desensitization. I have studies with starting and restarting horses as well.
Type of Ride Work
Flatwork mainly and starting horses but eager to branch out and learn more! mostly western saddle work and some english riding.
