Duties of Current Occupation

I currently work with Kent County, DE farmers to implement conservation practices on their farms.

Equine Work Experience

I have been working for equine operations since I was thirteen years old. I was a student manager for my university’s equestrian center, along with being a part of the university driving club. I studied equine-related agribusiness in university, with classes such as Equine Business Management, Equine Science, and Mare and Foal. In my final year of college, I became the live in manager at a farm off-campus, as well as maintaining my employment at my university, and working for a family-owned farm that retrained polo ponies as fox hunters. I have also attended many college lectures at Rutgers and Penn State University regarding various equine topics, and I am always looking to further my education.

Specialities

I have extensive experience with managing equine operations, both with boarders and without. I have very high standards for organization and cleanliness and excel in organizational skills. I am also trained in pasture management, to preserve and utilize the grounds in the most efficient way possible.

Type of Ride Work

I have been riding since age six, in various disciplines, such as English pleasure, Hunt seat, show jumping, eventing, thoroughbred racing, off-the-track retraining, western dressage, driving, etc. I have had to take a few years away from riding under instruction, as I was not able to keep a consistent schedule, but have continued to ride for recreation.

Competition Details

I have not had much competition experience beside local and home shows, but I have been a show groom and competition volunteer for many high level competition over the years. Most recently, I have volunteered at the Horse Park of New Jersey for their eventing shows, most prominently the international Jersey Fresh Three-Day Competition.
