Bio
I have worked with horses most of my life and enjoy jobs that expand my knowledge and experience. I am working towards becoming a packer with the U.S. forestry services and have been continuously growing my knowledge and experience with horses.Duties of Current Occupation
I am an Ocean Rescue Lifeguard between seasonal jobs at guest ranches. I volunteered at an OTTB rescue and became barn manager before adopting one of the rescues. I have worked at various barns over the years in exchange for lessons and experience.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for about 13 years. I started with dressage and began eventing in college. I have owned two horses- both of which I trained, showed, and sold. I have continued taking lessons since.
Type of Ride Work
I was raised doing dressage and later picked up cross country and jumping. I now lead trail rides during the season at guest ranches. My first horse was a western pleasure appendix that I trained in dressage up to first level. My second horse was a green OTTB that I did eventing with. After selling my horses, I continued taking lessons at various barns and obtained jobs that allowed to me to ride for work. I am currently finishing up a horse training job on a remote Hawaiian island.
Competition Details
I competed up to 1st level dressage and novice in cross country. I would show most weekends and schooled cross country often.
