Bio
I am a self-motivated, hard-worker that enjoys working with all types of horses and animals.While primarily riding western I highly enjoy working around and learning new disciplines. I have worked with kids and adults in teaching basic horsemanship.Qualifications
Currently working toward equine physiology AS degree. All core equine classes including nutrition, behavior, handling, physiology, exercise rehabilitation, and locomotion complete. Working to finish final business classes Shadowed a farrier for several weeks
Duties of Current Occupation
Western camp Wrangler- care of up to 115 horses of varying ages; teaching children and adults basic horsemanship; leading pack trips of up to 5 days into Colorado mountains on national forest Animal Refuge farm caretaker
Equine Work Experience
Equine Physiology student with a personal focus on rehab and massage therapy. Has been riding horses for 16 years primarily western and more recently dabbling in English riding Caring for a herd of over 100 horses ensuring each has properly fitted tack, no saddle sores, and remains sound for trail rides. Test riding and grading different horses to help match horse to rider to ensure both have a safe experience Worked with haflinger/quarter horse colts on halter breaking and groundwork
