Qualifications

No formal papers but tons of years traveling and learning hands on and in person from vets, trainers, show grooms, owners, rider, etc. Unfortunately, the way the horse world works my references are not current as I've been "out of the game" 5 years in corporate. Willing to come work 1 full day for FREE to see if the situation fits long term if needed.

Duties of Current Occupation

head groom at working lesson barn (100 stalls, half boarders half lessons); spent 4+ years training under various Irish horse breeders breaking and training Connemara horses/Irish sport horses; 2 years on professional WEF Circuit as show groom.

Equine Work Experience

Ive worked in multiple countries in multiple disciplines. Lesson barns to show barns. On the east coast circuit for 2+ years with some of the best riders competing. Have worked with FEI Jumpers/sales horses/sales videos/show prep Hacking, teaching, breaking training ponies Can clip, bathe, train, tack, ride, show or whatever needed.

If I cant do it, I'll learn how.

Riding/showing personally has been on the back burner due to lack of opportunities/financing.

Specialities

experience managing staff, creating lesson programs, training and handling babies, teaching both horses and riders to jump, lunging, stallion handing, turn out, some ground driving, basic dressage

Type of Ride Work

Bit of everything, riding is rusty as Ive been working corporate for a few years after a very hectic life change. Would love to lead trails or have a few horses to train up for sales or lesson horses. Able to ride out quirks and understand pain vs training issues.

I'm short and lightweight so ideal for schooling young horses or training Arabs or ponies.

Expert at getting stubborn ponies to act nice to their tiny riders lol

Competition Details

Worked the sales in Ireland (Connemara and midlands), worked up to FEI show circuit on East Coast in Florida. local shows, not really interested in competition unless its young horses getting experience. Some low level catch rides in various hunter/jumper shows. Nothing worth mention, mainly young babies that need the points
