General Barn Maintenance (mucking stalls, turn in/turnout, watering, feeding, preparing feed, clipping, wrapping, equine first aid, bathing), lunging, tacking
Equine Work Experience
● Rider preparation - tacking up horses and preparing them for the show ring, attending to riders, assisting in the warmup ring, keeping track of placements and schedules, preparing horses for travel ● Caring for injuries as directed by veterinarians and trainers ● Show set up and take down ● General barn maintenance - including cleaning and fixing tack, sweeping aisles and tack-up areas, mucking out stalls, providing safe environments for animals and students with a focus on cleanliness, enduring all outdoor and indoor waters were filled, assessing paddock safety ● Animal well-being - horse grooming, checking temperature, preparing diet plans, feed and watering, turning in/out, exercise ● Schooling lesson ponies and resale projects ● Creating safe environments for animals and humans
