I have over 10+ years of experience working with horses. I began volunteering at an equine rescue in my teenage years, where I learned to handle horses that may be flighty and unpredictable safely and appropriately, among various stablehand duties, and I received a "Volunteer of the Month" award for exceptional service. I also have basic riding experience, and owned my own horse for 7+ years, who I took full care of and often rode on long trail rides. I then worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at a PATH-Certified Therapeutic Riding Center, where I trained volunteers and staff members, organized outreach programs, and held a leadership role in which I guided both our human and equine workers safely and efficiently. Since moving to NJ, I have become a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, receiving my training and certification from the oldest equine massage program in the world, and have further used those skills to help horses recover at a veterinary rehabilitation center.
