Duties of Current Occupation

Horses- I train green horses and race horses to do hunter/jumper. Groom, feed, 1st aid. I manage time-share properties, answer calls and emails, schedule appointments, create schedules & special event fliers, and maintain the website.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding since I could walk. I grew up riding in GA and trained my first pony when I was 10 years old. I continued training horses bought off the track and competing on the A Circuit and continue to train now. I have not been competing as an adult, but am hoping to get back on the circuit now that I have completed school. For the past seven years I have been living in the Rocky Mountains where I learned a great deal about Western and outfitting (pack horses). I have worked helped build confidence in many green horses and inexperienced riders as a wrangler, but have recently acquired two green thoroughbreds to be trained as hunters. I have been through countless illnesses and injuries in my 25 years of experience and I've yet to meet a horse that I can't ride. I am competent around the barn and always looking for new ways to become more knowledgeable and increase my skills in and out of the saddle.

Specialities

I specialize in helping horses and riders reach their full potential. I train green horses who have never been ridden and retrain horses from other disciplines. Most of my horses come from the racetrack, but I have also worked with polo ponies and quarter horses. I also teach lessons and am able to provide feedback and support for riders of all skill levels. I have taught both english and western (barrel racing). I am also capable of providing basic care (feed, meds, exercise, wraps, etc).

Type of Ride Work

I can ride anything.

I have ridden crazy horses, young horses, terrified horses, homicidal horses, wretched ponies, grumpy appaloosas, fidgity mules, and horses who just need a little motivation.

Competition Details

I showed in Zone 4 of the A Circuit from the late 1990's until 2003. I have also done the GHJA shows regularly during the 1990's.

Hoping to start my new 4 y/o this year in Georgia.
