My name is Sarah Holcomb, and I am applying to veterinary school. I earned a Philosophy degree at Furman University in 2025. I graduated from UGA in May 2026 with my master's in Comparative Biomedical Science. I have 2,000 hours of vet experience.Qualifications
I have not taken any specific equine related courses, but I have taken animal anatomy and physiology.

I was an assistant at Hagyard in Lexington, KY in the theriogenology department. I restrained patients, turned horses out, bathed horses, fed, watered, gave medications and assisted with reproductive procedures.

I was an assistant at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute where I restrained patients, turned horses in/out, bathed horses, fed, watered, gave medications and assisted with reproductive procedures. I shadowed at Horner and Nash, and I shadowed and assisted at Martin Vet, a mixed animal clinic.
