Bio
Looking for a live in position not shared housing and/or option for one horse. My husband and I have two cats, two dogs, a rabbit, and a horse.
Qualifications

In 2015 I graduated from Vermont technical college's equine studies program. This degree has given me knowledge in equine training, riding instruction, day to day running of a 15 stall facility, and so much more. Although not in a equine setting I have had management responsible for several years. In the past I have worked as a trainer at McDonald's and an assistant at a child care facility, I feel right at home teaching children of all ages/ability.

Duties of Current Occupation

My current main duties include: keeping store clean and organized, updating inventory, computer work, and filling grain orders.

Equine Work Experience

I have 10+ years of horse experience including: natural horsemanship, working with young horses, grooming, administering medications (including IM injections)/first ad, feeding, turn in/out, blanketing, stall cleaning and more. While getting my degree I spent 3 1/2 years working at Vermont technical college's equine facility, gaining more knowledge and experience in the above as well as: equine training, riding instruction, lawn care, maintaining arenas/facilities, and fence repair. Im a independent work that gets stuff done however I also work as a team, even becoming a shift lead during the week for the grades under me. I have knowledge using tractors and mowers!

Type of Ride Work

Unfortunately I have not had many opportunities in recent years to improve my riding abilities. The discipline I enjoy the most is western pleasure and trail riding. I do have experience in centered riding and some dressage, I'm always looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge and my riding abilities.

Competition Details

I don't enjoy being in the ring at competitions, my comfort zone is at the trailer getting the horses ready to shine or behind a camera. Although I don't have experience at large competitions, I have been a groom at small local shows for family and friends.
