Hi Everyone! My name is Alex! I have been riding horses since I was 13 years old, I have participated in a variety of riding styles in English and Western disciplines. I am always ready to learn something new, and help any horse and rider I can!
Qualifications

I have recieved riding lessons in english saddle seat, western reined cow horse, and english dressage. I have received technical training and field experience in horsemanship and stockmanship practices at a ranch I previously worked at out west. I have attended horsemanship, stockmanship, and reata style roping clinics both out west and on the east coast. I have also made the time to both audit and ride in different clinics instructed by seasoned clinicians.

Duties of Current Occupation

My past responsibilities at previous equine businesses are diverse. The skills I have learned include Good horsemanship practices, Teaching riders of all levels, Cordial customer service, Stockmanship, Culinary arts, and property management.

Equine Work Experience

My equine experiences are diverse from many years of experience. I have volunteered at therapeutic riding centers for children and adults with disabilities. I have worked out west on a few guest ranches, Including a guest ranch that serviced horsemanship and stockmanship clinics to their customers in a wilderness setting. I have helped develop a guest ranch riding program on a small team of qualified individuals. I have trained horses and given lessons to people and their horses in the past as well. My training and experience as a NASM certified personal trainer in the fitness profession has carried over to helping horses and riders by increasing the health and fitness of both horse and rider. I have helped riders increase their overall health, physical fitness and athletic performance. I have also helped horses become healthier, happier, and more athletic with a holistic health, and relaxed low stress training and teaching methods.

Specialities

I have worked with many gelding and mares before. I have worked with foals before at previous small barns to help care for them during the day. I have worked on a wrangler team at previous guest ranches both out west and on the east coast, and the teams I was apart of had access to riding dozens of different horses for the guest riding program. We had to make sure each horses was healthy, and well trained for any guest or staff member to ride.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a variety of horses over time including American Quarter horses, American Paint horses, English Thoroughbreds, German and Dutch Warmbloods, Appendix horses, Appaloosas, Fresians, Draft crosses, Morgans, and Quart horse Pain Crosses. I have done a diverse array of riding styles including English saddle seat, Reined cow horse, Ranch versatility, Working Equitation, Obstacle Course, Wilderness Trekking, Groundwork, Problem solving, Teaching riders on the ground, and under saddle.

Competition Details

I have competed in a few horse shows as a teenager. However, My primary experiences have been working at small horse barns, and larger horse ranches.
