EAGALA certified Equine Specialist Have taken Masterson Method weekend course twice and practice on the horses at my current position.

Responsible for caring for 26+ horses at a not-for-profit equestrian education and lesson facility. Managed and trained volunteers and employees. Monitor health condition of all equines. Communicate with veterinarians, farriers, vendors, clients.

Have worked as an assistant to the barn manager at a 28 horse multi-use equestrian center for almost 6 years. Duties have included every aspect of equine care from stable facilities management to equine medical care.

Have trained under Kirsten Nelsen's Training for Optimal Balance and have helped in the rehabilitation of difficult horses. I have taught horse handling and safety and introduced new people to horsemanship.

I have experience in riding and training horses with chronic pain and balance problems - “crooked” horses that have injuries from past work. I am currently training an ex-barrel racing quarter horse to be able to be ridden in a basic lesson program. I have worked with a horse with kissing spine who was bucking students off and helped trained him to be a good lease riding horse. I work with trainer Kirsten Nelson to learn her method.
