Qualifications
I am a recent graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a Bachelors of Arts and Science in Equine Business Management. I have taken courses such as; Equine Anatomy & Lameness, Equine Diseases, Equine Physiology and Sports Therapy, Equine Nutrition, Sport Horse Evaluation and Judging, Equine Facility Design and Operation Management, Horse Farm Management, Equine Reproduction & Genetic, and Methods of Riding Instruction.

Duties of Current Occupation
I teach 20 lessons/week, ride 2-3 horses/day, and do barn chores 12 hours/week. Other duties include Clipping, IM and IV injection, oral meds, first aid, holding for vet/farrier, tack/groom for lessons and shows, ride training & client horses
Equine Work Experience
I have worked in a barn doing barn chores since I was 15. I have experience riding green and young horses. I have lots of experience in bringing horses back into work, rehabbing horses, as well as bringing along young horses and getting them show experience. I have 6 years experience in working in a barn running the day to day. I am confident handling all kinds of horses, I have experience turning out and handling foals, yearlings, green horses and I have dealt with almost every type of behavior issue. I'm calm, confidant, and experienced around all types of horses. I spent the last 6 months as a Working Student for an Eventer in South Carolina. During this time I groomed at FEI events, conditioned top show horses, backed and schooled 4 y/o, and sold a personal sales horses.
Specialities
I can confidently complete the following: clipping (full body and trace), administering medication (oral, IM, IV), wrapping (polo, standing), grooming(hunter braids, button braids, mane pulling) tacking, bathing, lunging with and without training system, wound care/ management, emergency first aid, packing/wrapping hoof, soaking hoof, handling horses, cleaning stalls, feeding, dragging arena, driving and dumping manure tractor and mowing paddocks/yard.
Type of Ride Work
I'm a hunter rider and have shown in the hunter ring since age 10. I have dabbled a little in the dressage ring and have a very strong flat work foundation. I have worked with green/young horses in the hunters and eventers. I have shown in the hunter ring at 2’6 and the jumper ring at .85. I have schooled up to 3’. I'm more developed as a flat rider as I work with inexperienced horses however I'm experienced in taking young horses over fences and ready to advance to the higher levels.
Competition Details
I have competed in the hunter ring at 2'6. I have limited rated show experience, my USEF number is 5278670. I have lots of experience doing schooling shows and traveling off property. I have assisted in running schooling shows as well as IEA shows. I was on the Johnson and Wales IHSA team for 2 years and worked closely with captions. I compete mostly with my young TB to develop his confidence
