Equine Work Experience
I have 20 years of working at different barns, everything from stud farms to lesson barns, trail stables and rescues, and both private and public facilities. If there's a situation that a horse could throw at me, I've most likely already had it happen, or at least seen it happen to someone else. I have foaled out nearly 80 mares and cared for over 200 foals in their first 24 hours of life. Primarily Thoroughbreds, but I've also worked on warmblood breeding farms and assisted with collection and AI.
Specialities
Medical care, rehabilitation, emergencies. IV, SQ, and IM injections, oral medications, bandaging. Foaling. Focus on overall and individual horse health. Night/Foal watch. Artificial Insemination
Type of Ride Work
I've been riding for 14 years, but it was primarily on trail, non technical work. I can handle almost any horse at any gait and in any situation, but I don't have the technical skills for specific, high level work. I've jumped up to 2'6", flatted high level hunters and barrel horses, schooled low level dressage, reiners, and lesson horses, and done basic colt starting. I also have mustang experience.
I am not looking for anything involving riding at this time, only broodmares/foaling.
