Duties of Current Occupation

Teaching, training, treating and caring for horses. Vetting and selecting horses for clients. Tack fitting, medical care and general overseeing duties.

Equine Work Experience

I am currently a barn shift manager, instructor, and trainer at Woodland Horse Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. I've been with Woodland for 12 years and have 8 years of instructing experience from beginner to advanced levels. I have several clients whose horses I do training rides on as well as retrain horses for sale. I can give injections, treat wounds, wrap, braid, groom, and exercise ride as well as all barn chores. I cherished my time and opportunities at Woodland but I am ready to expand my client outreach as well as the mentors I learn from as I continue to grow in my riding and instructing.

Type of Ride Work

My passion and focus is in dressage, but I did spend a fair amount of time in the jumpers and eventing. I also rode and competed with SCAD's national champion IHSA team while in college.

My roots are in the balanced seat, but I will teach (a very technical) forward seat if needed. Handled babies, yearlings, stallions, re-started racehorses, started horses under saddle,

Competition Details

I have also worked and volunteered at 2 FEI World Cup Finals, The Maryland 5 Star, and WIHS yearly. I am a frequently returning champion at the PVDA CC Championship from Intro through First Level.

Bronze medal in progress, in search of the right horse and situation. First Level scores completed, peaking at 71% Second and Third levels pending. Schooling experience through FEI level.
