I began horse riding at the age of 8 and continued, largely uninterrupted, until the age of 20 (interruptions were due to moving and pauses for summer breaks). I taught girls how to behave safely around horses, in addition to teaching them the basics of riding when I was a counselor at Girl Scout camp back in 2018, after having been a camper and CIT at the same camp (participating in horse-riding programs for nine years before).
