Michigan State University (MSU) equine management certificate program. My classes included driving, health & nutrition, judging, riding, training, reproduction, and anatomy.

I've been doing evening chores at a boarding barn for the past few years, feeding, watering, wellness checks, and cleaning. Currently my main job is postal carrier, as there are not a lot of equine opportunities near me.

Assistant barn manager at a summer camp for 5 years, training volunteers, teaching grooming/tacking for beginners, leading trail rides, cleaning barn and tack, minor first aid. Horse management certificate at MSU. Riding lessons since 2009.

At MSU, I learned to drive single and a team. I worked with foals, halter breaking, leading, grooming. I've worked around stallion performance horses, not for repro.

My first years of lessons were mostly focusing on equitation, english pleasure/basic dressage. We did western on trail rides and bareback once a month. I had started hunter jumper lessons with the equestrian team at the university, though the group lesson I was put in was mostly flatwork. For my internship at the Dancing Horses Theatre, we again did basic dressage. I also was able to practice vaulting on their Percherons.

I competed in the MSU hunt seat team, with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). When our team hosted the show, all the members helped run it behind the scenes.
