Bio
I’m 21, I grew up riding hunter jumpers until I got out of the horse world 2022-2024 when I got back into horses after I was done with school. Got a young horse to work with and now I’m looking for a working student position to further my experience.
Duties of Current Occupation

I was a working student for a trainer for one week a month when I was in high school I had to travel to CA. I would put boots on horses, handle turnouts, hosing horses off, tacking up, filled waters, fed horses, kept the crossties/tackroom clean

Equine Work Experience

I have been in horse in some way or another since I was a toddler and my oldest sister got into western pleasure, I got into western based lessons when I was 6 years old and transitioned to a hunter barn when I was 7. Stayed in hunters jumped up to 2’4” with an older lease horse. We moved to Montana when I was 11 and I switched to a more pleasure based riding as there weren’t any English trainer we could find. I got my first young horse when I was 14 and soon after found a working equitation and dressage trainer. I ended selling my horse after she got started under saddle as she was a little too short for me. I rode with my trainer for a year and half, polishing up my riding. During that time is when I started traveling to California to be my previous trainers working student to get more experience and time in the saddle. After that is when I took a break to focus on graduating high school and got into a trade school. When I was done, is about when I got my horse when she was two.

Specialities

I’m not sure about specialties. I have spent time working with young horses, and hot horses, but I’m not sure I’d say I specialize in those yet. I have handled a twenty horse barns turnout.
