Duties of Current Occupation

Currently Equine Program Lead at a therapeutic group home for youth with severe emotional disturbance, and conduct all aspects of program (care, training, facilities, purchasing, vet care, organizing farrier, programming and implementation)

Equine Work Experience

20+ years of riding experience.16 years Hunter Jumper riding experience. Over 5 years of teaching experience. Unfortunately, the amount I have been teaching over the last 3.5 years has significantly decreased the amount of time I have been in the saddle. Some supervisory experience. AAS degree in Equine Studies: Riding and Training of the Horse, Undergraduate research in monitoring the heart rate of riding horses, IHSA Team Captain at Randolph College and Utah State University, Veterinary Hospital Assistant 3+ years, Groom 3+ years, Working student 5+ years, Pony Camp Counselor 3 years. Mostly have worked with adult show horses, and lesson horses, but do have experience working with youngstock, studs, and brood mares.

Any gaps in resume or previous employers section of my profile are filled with non-equine related jobs or focus on college studies.

Specialities

Teaching (all aspects of horsemanship utilizing entire equine facilities and classrooms), Barn and Herd Management (without boarders), Hunter Jumper and Equitation. Some supervisory experience. Forever learner.

Type of Ride Work

Comfortable flatting and courses under 3'. English, Western, trails, fields, anywhere there is safe footing, I am happy to ride. Have some experience with Dressage, Eventing, Western Pleasure, and Reining.

Competition Details

Some competition experience. Competed in Special Adult Hunters at USEF and SWVHJA horse shows. 3.5 years in IHSA riding in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter and Novice Flat and Fences divisions. Competed on Competitive Equine Judging team at Northwest College, earned Reserve High Point Individual: Halter Classes at AQHA World Show Collegiate Judging Competition. I have also competed at the NRHA's Collegiate Judging competition.
