Duties of Current Occupation

Handle/Manage any situations involving barn staff (training/mediate issues amongst staff/scheduling/assist) Ordering supplies and handling grain deliveries Teach both abled bodied/ and therapeutic riding lessons (unmounted/mounted) to all ages

Equine Work Experience
  • Graduated UNH - Bachelor's degree in Equine Studies
  • 6 yrs. of English riding experience
  • 8 yrs. working with/handling horses
  • can lunge horses
  • knowledgeable about equine health/body language (can take Temp, pulse, respiratory rates, can spot signs of colic and have handled many colic situations throughout the years, spot overall signs of discomfort, identify lameness / change in the horse's way of moving, basic first aid/ administer oral medications, have enough knowledge to identify situations when a vet needs to be called immediately, etc.
  • Seasoned stable hand and am very familiar with barn chores and how barns run, can work independently or as part of a team (comfortable with double leading horses during turnout)
