My coursework has given me substantial exposure to a lot of horse knowledge and experience. Some examples of relevant courses I have taken are Horse Practicum, Equine Nutrition, Studies in Animal Science (research specifically pertaining to horses), Horse Management, and Advanced Equine Health and Management to name a few. I am greatly looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience through a career.

I have worked with a variety of horses during my time at Rutgers. I have not worked with younger horses. The horses at Rutgers are all older but I have worked with all of the mares and geldings that we have here. I do not have experience leading a team, but I have been a part of many and enjoy working with others. I have experience grooming, picking hooves, turning out, catching and leading, mucking stalls, and some other basic skills. Horses are my passion and I am happy just to be around them.

I have ridden horses a few times on trails, but nothing serious. Rutgers horses aren't ridden so I don't have much experience in this regard, but I am very eager to learn. I have not started a horse.
